Author Talks & Visits
I love connecting with readers in any format, but live events are my favourite. There’s something about the energy in the room, the way we bounce off each other’s warmth and humour, that can’t be replicated.
That said, I’m also open to online conversations and virtual events.
Over the years, I’ve spoken at libraries, bookshops, festivals, writing groups, schools, U3A, charity events, and even nursing homes. Each audience brings its own spark.
I also have experience moderating panels which a completely different skill set to solo talks, and one I truly enjoy.
'I have been to hear Kylie Orr speak so many times that she may think I’m a stalker but she is one of the most entertaining speakers you could ever hope to listen to. If you have a chance to hear her speak at an event near you, then I’d definitely recommend attending!'
Helen Farch | Forest Hill College Librarian
'Kylie was hilarious and I loved seeing how she could put so much depth and darkness on the page, seeing how light and joyful she was in person.'
Sage | Farrells Bookshop Mornington
My fees are in line with the Australian Society of Authors Rates of Pay (Public Appearances). Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss options.
